HEARING AIDS

Our goal is to help members of our community achieve better hearing for better quality of life.

There are many factors to consider when choosing assistive technology, such as:

  • Hearing test results

  • Patient expectations

  • Manual dexterity

  • Size and shape of the outer ear

  • General health of the outer ear

  • Tinnitus/Ringing in the ear

  • Patient listening environments

  • Cosmetic concerns

  • Cerumen (earwax) production

  • Phone compatibility

  • Additional technology needs

A complete hearing test, also referred to as a diagnostic audiological evaluation, includes a full assessment of your hearing ability, your speech understanding ability, and an assessment of your outer/middle/inner ear. This type of test can take anywhere from 30-90 minutes, depending on the degree and type of your hearing loss.
